Several users of the app confirmed this latest incident regarding images and some common features on the popular social media site.
It is unclear what caused the problems last night and users were confused about when they would be able to see the photos again.
The problems were reportedly widespread, meaning not everyone is experiencing the same issues across browsers or across Android and iOS.

From what has been shared so far, the Facebook app was not loading images after the first image in an album or the profile picture.
A user who was experiencing this issue said: “Hi Facebook, we can’t see photos even on the Facebook app. All my friends are facing these issues. I hope everything will be fine.”

Another user reported: "It's impossible to display more than one image, either on iPhone or iPad. We restarted the phone, cleared memory and data. Nothing happened, I guess it's a glitch."

Facebook has not provided further guidance regarding yesterday's outage or how long it would last.
A troubleshooting page on Facebook's website offers this advice: "If you can't view photos on Facebook and instead see black boxes, empty boxes, or broken images, you can try updating your browser."
«For videos, you can try updating your internet browser and installing the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. If that doesn't work, use the "Report a problem" in your account to let us know more about what you're seeing when you try to watch a video.»
