Press Release: EY wins three awards at the Microsoft Global Partner of the Year Awards 2020
EY named Microsoft Global Partner of the Year 2020 for Consulting, Energy and Financial Services
Microsoft has recognized EY as one of its leading global partners, awarding it three 2020 Global Partner of the Year awards, for its excellence in innovation and client support through the implementation of solutions based on Microsoft technology. Specifically, EY was recognized as the 2020 Global Partner of the Year for Consulting, Energy and Financial Servicesat the Microsoft Global Partner of the Year Awards 2020.
The Microsoft Global Partner of the Year Awards recognize and reward organizations that have developed and delivered outstanding solutions based on Microsoft technology. The awards cover a range of categories, with the distinguished companies selected from a pool of more than 3,300 nominations from more than 100 countries worldwide.
The Global Advisory Services Partner of the Year Award recognizes the global capabilities of EY teams, which provide valuable advisory services and solutions, using Microsoft technologies, innovation and their strong skills, to support clients in implementing their digital transformation.
The Global Energy Partner of the Year Award recognizes EY’s deep knowledge of the energy industry, which, combined with Microsoft’s cloud technologies, has led to the development of two innovative digital solutions: the EY Digital Energy Enablement Platform (EY DEEP) and EY UtilityWave. Both are designed to help energy companies optimize their operations, achieve new levels of efficiency and make better decisions based on reliable data and information.

Finally, the Partner of the Year Award recognizes EY for its Global Financial Crime Platform, a scalable and secure solution developed in partnership with Microsoft to help modernize banks’ operations to address financial crime. The platform, hosted on Microsoft Azure, helps banks of all sizes comply with the financial industry’s increased regulatory and security requirements, while improving risk management effectiveness, increasing process automation and reducing customer onboarding time.
Commenting on EY’s three global distinctions from Microsoft, Mr. George Apostolakis, Partner in the Advisory Services Department of EY Greece and responsible for EY’s relationship with Microsoft for the Central, Eastern, Southeastern Europe and Central Asia (CESA) region, said: “The recognition of EY by Microsoft as Global Partner of the Year in three individual categories is a special honor for our organization.
