Equifax

Attorney General Hill filed a lawsuit against Equifax, one of the world's largest credit reporting agencies, after it suffered a massive data breach from May 2017 to July 2017. The breach compromised of approximately 147 million Americans, including approximately 3.9 million Indiana residents. Information such as Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, driver's license numbers and credit card information was compromised.

Indiana consumers can now claim a refund based on the amount they are entitled to. All residents are encouraged to visit IndianaEquifaxClaims.com and submit a claim for their refund. They simply need to provide the required information and if they qualify, they will receive their compensation. The deadline is December 16, 2020, to submit their claims, after which compensation will begin to be distributed.

About 3.9 million Indiana residents are eligible for a refund under the terms of the settlement. If someone is not eligible, they likely have someone in their family or circle of friends who is. The website encourages residents to visit IndianaEquifaxClaims.com and submit their claim.
