-A total of nine awards and the top distinction ICT Company of the Year, for the second year in a row to OTE Group, at the Impact Business IT Excellence Awards 2020
OTE Group's contribution to the digital transformation of businesses and society was highlighted at this year's Business IT Excellence (BITE) Awards. Specifically, the Group received a total of nine awards, both for its own initiatives to inform businesses about the needs of the new digital era, as well as for significant telecommunications and IT projects that it implemented. In this context, the Group was also honored with the top distinction of ICT COMPANY OF THE YEAR , for the second consecutive year.

's #GrowYourBusiness COSMOTE initiative stood out by winning two gold awards in the categories "Training and Technical Support" and "Digital Transformation Enabler". #GrowYourBusiness is a series of free seminars and workshops throughout Greece for small and medium-sized businesses, through which over 4,000 entrepreneurs were trained in the trends of the new digital era and received inspiration and ideas to grow.
The interactive Virtual Reality training platform created by COSMOTE for the Coca-Cola Hellenic Sales Team, where employees are trained in new store activation scenarios through a mobile, desktop and VR application, also won a gold award in the “New Innovative Product” category, as did the application COSMOTE hoteliga for managing hotels and their reservations via the cloud, in the “Specialized Applications” category. The gold award was also awarded to OTE Group and the Holy Community of Mount Athos, in the “Large-Scale IT Projects” category, for the “Athonite Digital Ark” project, which concerns the digitization and promotion of the cultural wealth of the Holy Monasteries of Mount Athos. In the “Network & Communications” category, the gold award was awarded to COSMOTE in collaboration with Space for the redesign of the data and voice network of the branches and buildings of the National Bank, while the silver award was awarded to OTE Group for the modernization of the telephone systems of the TITAN Group. Finally, the bronze award was awarded to OTE Group and Datasite in the “SaaS service provider” category for the implementation of an application for managing sensitive data during the execution of purchases and sales.
The BITE awards, which showcase the best ICT practices of Greek enterprises, are organized for the ninth year by Netweek magazine of Boussias Communications and the Electronic Commerce & Business ELTRUN Laboratory of the Athens University of Economics and Business, under the aegis of SEPE. The evaluation of the candidates was performed by a review committee, composed of industry professionals and university professors.
