Tesla's shorts with the inscription "S3XY" on the back have arrived, and they are so sought after that at one point they managed to "bring down" the official website!
" Tesla's short shorts with the 'S3XY' print on the back for a moment (was down) at the time of publication , proved so popular that the website it was back up " the company's CEO tweeted over the weekend . After all , Elon Musk wasn't kidding when he said shorts would be released.
"Celebrate summer with Tesla's short shorts," says the description on the company's official website.
«Run like the wind or party like Liberace wearing the red satin shorts with gold details.»
The shorts are part of a long-running joke about Tesla shorts , those who borrow and sell the company's shares , hoping the price will drop so they can buy them cheaper and make a profit.
People involved in this part of the stock market often strongly criticize the company behind it, and Elon Musk has declared war on shorts, and the SEC, which he holds responsible for campaigns against the company.
Even the price of the shorts is a reference to the joke. It costs $69,420, with the “420” meaning two things. On the one hand, it’s a reference to marijuana, and on the other, it refers to Musk’s infamous tweet about taking Tesla private at a share price of $420, which got him in a lot of trouble with the SEC.
In any case, the shorts seem to be quite popular. Right now there are only pieces available in XL, while all others are sold out.
