Two short- videoowned by TikTok, ByteDance, are set to shut down.

Vigo Video and Vigo Video Lite, which allow users to create and share short videos on various social media platforms , will be shut down by October 2020 , the company said in a statement
According to TechCrunch, the company's decision to make this move is due to the fact that neither app has been able to gain the user base that TikTok has. While TikTok's database includes more than 200 million people in India, Vigo Video and Vigo Video Lite have less than 10 million followers combined.

Users of the app will have the time and tools they need to transfer accounts to TikTok. The official announcement within the app also includes a link to TikTok, making it easy to transfer the account to the popular app.
According to statistics shared by TechCrunch, Vigo Video managed to gain just 4 million monthly active users, while Vigo Lite managed to gain just 1.5 million monthly active users.
Recently, ByteDance’s TikTok faced problems in India due to the dispute between the app and its creators on YouTube. People were so dedicated to bringing TikTok down that the app’s rating went from 4.5 to 1.3 stars on the Google Play Store. However, after a few days, Google removed all the fake reviews and the app regained its normal rating.
After the closure of both apps, the database of Vigo Video and Vigo Video Lite will mostly move to TikTok, which is a profitable outcome for ByteDance.
