Hacker Mrb3hz4d: Exclusive interview with the Iranian wanted by the FBI: The Iranian hacker Mrb 3 hz 4 d , who has breached the website of the National Transparency Authority ( aead.gr ) which belongs to SYZEFXIS, the access and backbone network for public bodies, gives an exclusive interview to the SecNews team .
The Iranian hacker has attacked hundreds of websites worldwide , drawing particular attention to himself, resulting in him being considered particularly important to the FBI , which recently issued an ALERT for him.
Here you can find the FBI statement regarding Mrb3hz4d which states:
The FBI is observing increased website hacking activity by Iranian hackers. The FBI believes that many of the website hackings were carried out by exploiting known vulnerabilities in content management systems (CMSs) to upload defacement files. The FBI advises users, organizations, and companies that may be targeted by Iranian hackers to be aware of the indicators, tactics, and techniques provided in ALERT .
The SecNews team got in touch with the much-discussed Mrb 3 hz 4 d to learn more about the hacker, their goals, the attacks on Greek websites, his opinion on the level of online security of Europeans, the message he sends to the National Transparency Authority and much more.

- A few words about yourself?
I do hacking because I enjoy it and I don't get paid for it. My technical background includes coding, programming, web hacking and exploiting.
- Do you consider yourself a black-hat hacker, a grey-hat hacker or a white-hat hacker?
Grey-hat hacker would represent me better.
- Have you been involved in hacking for a long time? Do you act alone or do you belong to a hacking group?
Yes, I've been involved for quite some time. I don't belong to any hacking group, I run all the attacks myself.
- How many successful hacking attacks have you carried out?
I have succeeded in many hacking attacks. I don't know the exact number but it's definitely hundreds.
- As a hacker, have you been targeted by state authorities and government bodies?
Yes, but I have nothing to fear.
- What criteria do you use to select your targets? Are they only government organizations of foreign countries or do you also "hit" targets in your own country?
The reason I engage in hacking attacks is to discover vulnerabilities in systems and websites. I want to raise awareness among those who have not taken care of protecting their online systems, regardless of which country they belong to.
- Which country, in your opinion, is most vulnerable to hacking attacks?
India. Most websites in India have almost no security measures in place, making them easy targets. The level of online security is very low.
- Greece's online infrastructures have been subjected to several hacking attacks from Iranian hackers from time to time . Do you think Greece is an easy target for a hacker ?
Yes. If someone has technical hacking knowledge, Greece won't be particularly difficult for them.

- Targeting the National Transparency Authority is a major government network. How do you target a specific country? For example, do you think someone can easily reach Greek hosts? Are there other victims in your arsenal that are related to Greece or the government? (no need to mention targets of course but a yes or no)
Yes, there are other Greek systems that have been breached. I don't need to mention more.
- Apart from the website of the National Transparency Authority (https://www.aead.gr/), have you violated other Greek websites?
Yes. Quite a few, in fact.
- How easy is it, in your opinion, for someone to hack into the systems of Greek government organizations, websites, and personal accounts?
Greece has a moderate level of internet security. So it's not difficult.
- How easy is it for a hacker to find personal data of European citizens and especially Greeks on the Dark Web? If it is easy, does this mean that Greek systems have been breached many times?
Yes, it is very easy for a hacker with technical knowledge to find compromised databases of European citizens. Yes, there are several databases with personal information of Greek citizens on the Dark Web and one of them is currently in my hands. All the personal information of Greeks that was in the systems of the National Transparency Authority now belongs to me.
- Do you think Iranian hackers have the ability and technical knowledge to start a cyberwar?
Yes, Iranian hackers are capable of starting a cyberwar and even “winning.” Iran has a powerful cyber army.
- What are the basic protection measures that government agencies, businesses, and ordinary users should take to protect themselves from hacking attacks like yours?
To avoid falling victim to hacking, they must have installed good anti-virus software , which they must ensure is always updated. They must also have installed an anti-sheller.
- Finally, do you have a message to send to the National Transparency Authority about the hacking attack they received?
The National Transparency Authority officials must contact me IMMEDIATELY, otherwiseI will be forced to publish the database with hundreds of personal details of Greek citizens. The security of their online systems is incomplete and this will cost them. Time is counting down….
After our communication with Hacker Mrb3hz4d, we must warn the competent authorities of the National Transparency Authority to act IMMEDIATELY. According to what the Iranian hacker , if they do not take immediate measures, the publication of the databases with data of Greek citizens will cost the violation of the confidentiality and privacy of many Greeks.
SecNews is not able to know the exact content of the data the Iranian Hacker has at his disposal, nor what use he may make of it.
We thank Mrb3hz4d for the brief statements and information he provided us.
