Private.sh is a new search service that promises not to track you. According to their website, they use a five-step process for every search to ensure your privacy is protected with encryption.
So we're talking about the most private search engine on the web.

How does it protect you?
Initially the search query is encrypted locally on your computer. Using client-side Javascript, your search term is encrypted using the Search Provider's public key – meaning Private.sh cannot see what you are searching for and only the search provider can decrypt it.
The public IP is then hidden with a proxy . The Private.sh service protects your privacy and only transmits the encrypted search term to the search provider, so that no user tracking profiles can be created using IP fingerprinting .
The search provider decrypts the query and encrypts the search results
The search provider takes the encrypted search term, decrypts it, and then finds the search results. The results are then encrypted with the public key, so only your browser can decrypt the results.
Encrypted results are returned via the Private.sh proxy
Search results are returned to the browser through the Private.sh proxy, so the search provider does not communicate with you directly.
Finally the results are decrypted locally on your computer
Search results are decrypted by your browser using JavaScript.
The service's code is open. So with published code, everything is open for inspection by anyone interested.
The website and service extension are developed with open source technologies and can be easily tested and improved through a project coming soon.
