BlackArch Linux 2019.09.1 ​​new ISO with 150 new tools

The developers of the BlackArch Linux distribution, which is based on Arch Linux and used for penetration testing by security researchers, have announced the June 2019.09.1 ​​release.

Usually, each new version updates the system but also adds several new tools:

“We released new BlackArch Linux ISO images today. Check out the changelog: more than 150 new tools were added, and the 'jedi-vim' plugin, and an updated version of vim, The new release's kernel is Linux 5.1.4, and the blackarch-installer was upgraded to version 1.1.1”

Updated Xresources and Xdefaults, as well as rxvt-unicode. Updated all BlackArch tools and packages, as well as configuration files, all system packages, and all management menus for the Awesome, Fluxbox, and Openbox desktops.

The full BlackArch ISO is over 16GB in size and is only suitable for USB or VirtualBoxes. Of course, there is also the “netinst” image which is the size of a CD and downloads the packages you choose from the distribution’s repositories during installation.
