Microsoft has reportedly released the RTM of Windows 10 October 2018 Update. According to various sources, the Windows 10 build 17763 that we published last week may be Microsoft's choice for the RTM of the major update that will be released early next month.
Build 17763 has already been released to Insiders registered in the Slow Ring since last week. Usually, this happens when builds are considered stable and with increased reliability.
So if this build is indeed the RTM of the upcoming Windows 10 October 2018 Update, we will see it soon (in the next few days) in the Release Preview ring. Of course, after those who install the RTM by the end of the month, Microsoft will release some cumulative updates to fix the remaining bugs.
It should be noted that WZor, (a well-known Russian leaker and very reliable source for Windows) and birthcity.com, report that build 17763 is the RTM of Windows 10 October 2018 Update, although Microsoft has not stated anything about this to date.
A supposed release schedule for the upcoming update that leaked earlier this month had Microsoft releasing the RTM build in mid-September, and according to WZor, this would happen on September 21, while the build promotion to the Slow Ring took place on September 20.
It should be noted for all interested parties that build 17763 is released with two different known issues, which we described in our previous post. However, if it is the RTM build, Microsoft will have already resolved the issues and will fix them with some cumulative update.
