Mobile phone batteries are nothing like they used to be. They have certainly improved in quality and in terms of durability. However, with the advancement of technology , the use of phones has increased a lot and so many times before the end of the day we have devices that have almost zero battery. Especially in cases where the device is over a year old.
In this case, there are some solutions that you can follow. First, you can buy a new phone if you want. It is certainly not the most economical option and there is always the possibility that you do not want to part with your device yet. The second thing you can do is replace the battery itself. Certainly the cost is lower but not negligible. However, you can follow the steps below to manage to extend the use of your battery.

DOZE MODE
At this point we need to understand what Doze Mode is. Essentially, this feature ensures that your phone's apps don't use battery when you're not using the device. Doze Mode is automatically activated when your device is not used for a period of time. Of course, you may not want all apps to stop. That is, you may want a specific app to work normally, even when you're not using the device. To separate this app, just do the following.
Go to your phone's settings and select "Apps & notifications.".
Scroll down and select “Advanced” > “Special app access” > “Battery optimization”.
You'll see a list of all apps that aren't optimized for Doze. Tap the "Not optimized" button at the top and select "All apps.".
Most apps will be labeled “Optimize battery usage.” You can review this list and select any app you want to exclude. Tap the app, then select “Don’t optimize.”.
Two features that help save battery are Adaptive Battery and Adaptive Brightness. They essentially help you adjust your apps and screen to match your habits and not waste battery unnecessarily.
- To enable Adaptive Battery, do the following.
Go to your phone's settings and select "Battery".
Find and tap on “Adaptive Battery.” Turn it on, if it isn’t already on.
- To enable Adaptive Display, do the following.
Go to phone and select "Display".
Find and tap “Adaptive Display.” Turn it on, if it isn’t already on.

Of course, to ensure the battery life of your device, you can use an app. Many apps on the Play Store promise to help with this process. Two really effective apps are AccuBattery and Greenify.
One step you should definitely take is to check what apps you have on your device and disable those you no longer use. It's also a good idea to check which apps are consuming the most battery.
Go to “Settings” > “Battery” and tap on the “More” symbol and then “Battery usage”.
So when you find an app that's using more battery than you'd like, you can either uninstall it or stop it from running in the background.
- From the “Battery usage” or “Show full device usage” list, select the app you want.
- Search for “Background restriction.” Tap it.
- You will receive a warning that the app may not work properly. Select “Restrict.”.
The most common solution is battery saver. The purpose of this feature is to keep the device running when the battery is low enough. In practice, it stops apps from running unnecessarily. Of course, you can specify when battery saver will work. Just go to “Settings” > “Battery” > “Battery saver”. You can also specify at what battery level it will be activated. The most common is 15%.
However, at some point you may run out of battery and have no way to charge device . But you still need your device for a while. In this case, it's a good idea to take some extra steps.
- Make sure all your applications are closed.
- Turn on Do Not Disturb to stop notifications.
- Set your screen timeout to 30 seconds so that the screen doesn't stay on if you're not using it.
- Lower the screen brightness as much as you can.
- Turn off Bluetooth, location tracking, and Wi-Fi.
