Technology 4.0: Technological Pillars of the Digital Recovery of the Economy

Technology 4.0: "Digital Transformation" refers to the application of new digital Telecommunications and Information Technology (ICT) technologies to achieve process change (e.g. computerization and automation) as well as business models in private and public enterprises and organizations, aiming to enhance innovation, workforce efficiency and personalize services offered to customers and citizens.

In the last 2-3 years, we have already seen businesses maturing by focusing on the integration of advanced digital technologies and the utilization of data collected through social networks, search engines, mobile devices with location information, etc. and which are now available on the internet and/or in private or public computing "clouds" (public/private cloud infrastructures).

The purpose of the module is to inform the participants of the Conference about the relevant developments in new technologies, their usefulness for the development of Companies and Public Bodies, and to encourage an open dialogue between the State, Businesses and the Academic Community, which will contribute on an annual basis to the reform of the National Digital Policy Strategy.
