Some details have already been revealed about the new iPhones coming in 2019, as well as the new iPad and iOS 13 software.
As for the iPhones XR, XS, XS Max, they will definitely have successors in 2019, but the hardware upgrades to these products will be relatively few. In addition, a faster A12 system-on-a-chip is expected to come to all new models, and at the same time a third camera will be added that will be more advanced! Of course, we do not yet know if the newer models will be larger in size, although the company had previously stated that it would attempt to release smaller ones. Regarding the third camera, it should be noted that the zoom features will be activated better, and there will be a larger field of view and higher resolution.
All three new iPhones will feature an upgraded TrueDepth sensor with improved FaceID. The biggest change is expected to be the move from Apple's Lightning port to the emerging industry-standard USB-C, something we saw with the iPad Pro update last year. This will certainly be a welcome change.
Regarding iPads, Apple seems to be planning an upgrade to the non-Pro iPad next spring, with a 10-inch display and a faster CPU. According to some sources, Apple will also upgrade the iPad mini, which hasn't changed since 2015!
The iOS 13 software that will definitely run on the next models will have improvements in terms of stability, performance and bugs. Apple is also expected to revamp the home-screen in iOS 13 and 3D touch interactions. In addition to the new changes to the software, iPhones and iPads, the company's plans also include improvements to CarPlay as well as the arrival of a Dark Mode in macOS Mojave. Finally, the new iPhones will have an upgraded version of Live Photos, which will be converted to 6 seconds instead of the current 3.
