Gmail Confidential Mode: A few days ago, we reported that Gmail was getting a makeover with a new design and features, but it looks like Google is also getting ready to add a new Confidential Mode . The Verge revealed the new design earlier this week, along with some of the new features like quick replies to emails, the ability to snooze emails, and a new sidebar for adding or syncing calendar appointments to messages. Today, we learned that Google will also be adding “Confidential Mode,” which will allow Gmail users to block forwarding features for certain messages or restrict recipients from copying, downloading, or printing them. Google will allow Gmail users to require passwords to open certain emails, which will be created via SMS. Users of the service will also be able to set an expiration date for sent messages. Gmail Confidential Mode features are similar to those found in Microsoft's Outlook app. These features will appeal to businesses that want more control over how their emails are used by recipients. Google's I/O developer conference starts on May 8, and it's very likely that we'll see all of the above features along with the new Gmail design on that date. Google is also expected to announce more updates to other web services during the conference.
