According to Bleeping Computer, Microsoft is working on a feature that would allow users to remotely install Store on different devices. It's currently being tested on the web version of the Store.
When you visit the page of an app that is installed on at least one of your devices, you’ll see an option titled “Install on my devices.” After you click it, you can choose from a list of your other Windows 10 devices that are signed in to the same account.
According to Bleeping Computer, it takes about 15 minutes for the app to automatically install on the target device after clicking “Install Now.” That seems pretty slow compared to Google Play, which offers a similar feature for installing apps on Android devices. But let’s not forget that it’s still a work in progress.
Also, in Microsoft's case, the feature isn't entirely new. It was originally launched for Windows Phone back in the day.
Not many details are known about the remote installation feature, but it will be useful for users who have multiple Windows 10 devices. Or if it worked in web browsers on Android and iOS devices, one could install apps from anywhere, on Windows 10 computers located at home, for example.
The feature was added on June 6, 2018 for testing. Given Microsoft's ongoing efforts to improve the cross-device experience, we could expect the remote app to be available to all Windows users soon.
