If you're looking for a way to keep your kids safe while they're out and about and to be able to check on their whereabouts at any time, you might be interested in a new GPS developed by Stuart Reich called Dristee. The development team behind the Dristee kids' GPS watch explains more about the project and development process behind the wearable GPS tracker:
“The Dristee project has been in development for the past three years. With teams spanning multiple continents and led by Dee herself. After many prototypes, countless ideas and many refinements, dristee is now a product ready to go. During this time, we have fulfilled design requirements, answered technological challenges and secured widespread adoption. Pre-programmed SMS/MMS send alerts and alarm sound to all designated phone numbers during any emergency situations.
The first prototypes (V-1) validate key features such as GPS tracking, geostationary compensation, as well as sensors for both accelerometer and water hazard detection. These hardware sensors are combined with intelligent software to create a solution that is best suited for childcare facilities, schools, and facilities for the elderly or those with mobility issues. While this device is fully functional and has been tested for many months, the design was flawed.”
The Dristee is now available and will be back through Kickstarter with early donations starting at just $50 and delivery is expected to take place in December 2018. For full specifications and more information, head over to the official Kickstarter campaign website.
