A new Indiegogo campaign has been launched by hardware makers Libre Computer to raise funds to produce the new ARM Mini PC. The Raspberry Pi-style Mini PC comes with 1.2 or 4 GB of DDR4 RAM and is equipped with four 64-bit ARM processor cores, USB 3.0 connectivity and Gigabit Ethernet. The 1GB RAM-powered iOS version is priced at $35, while the 2GB version costs $45 and the 4GB version is a bit more expensive at $70. Both support mainstream Linux and Android 7.1 Nougat operating systems. Libre Computer explains more about the new Mini PC.
"The Renegade is the first mini PC to feature DDR4 technology, USB 3.0 capability, and Gigabit Ethernet. This modern and powerful platform shares the same form factor as the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, with one fewer USB port. It also features both Linux and Android 7.1 Nougat Support."
Libre Computer's project is a brand, not a manufacturer. We carefully select partners and manufacturing plans to ensure that the platform as a whole will meet our requirements.
We are expanding our range to cover the popular solutions used today. We want to continue to simplify training, accelerate product development and make it easier to get started with other technologies. Lowering the barriers to entry is part of our mission.
Together with our partners, our goal is to provide reliable and long-term supported platforms that you can rely on to create even more innovative products and services. We are open to partnerships with companies that want to offer the same level of care and attention to their products throughout their lifecycle.”
