As if increasing the character limit to 280 wasn't enough, Twitter is now testing a special feature to make it easier for its users to tweet.

The test first appeared in September, but Twitter is now confirming the experiment, which is currently active only to people who are part of the Twitter Experiments Program.
The latest version of the feature, spotted by Android Police, allows users to add multiple tweets to a single thread using a new “+” icon in the tweet composer. It’s unclear if it limits you to a specific number of tweets, but it appears that each will have the same 280-character limit as the rest of Twitter.
While tweetstorming has been a common practice among long-time users for years, Twitter has never made the process particularly intuitive for new users, despite its popularity. (Although Twitter has made some improvements over time to make long threads easier to follow.)
But making it an official part of the app would be another sign that Twitter is ready to help its users find ways to use its platform to share their thoughts in a longer way than the traditional 140-character limit, which was recently doubled.
Of course, Twitter, like any other major tech company, regularly tests new features, many of which never make it to the public. But given the popularity of tweetstorms and Twitter's recent commitment to making tweets longer, it seems like the feature definitely has a good chance of becoming official.
