HMD Global, the exclusive licensee of Nokia for phones and tablets, has introduced a new smartphone powered by the Android operating system, the Nokia 2.
The Nokia 2 is an affordable phone, featuring a 5-inch Corning Gorilla Glass 3 display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and a density of around 294 PPI, as well as a screen-to-body ratio of 67.4%, 1 GB of RAM, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 Quad-Core processor and Adreno 304 GPU.
The most important thing is that its LTPS LCD display is not only sharp and bright, but also built to consume less battery power. Speaking of battery, the Nokia 2 has a powerful 4100 mAh battery that will last up to two days on a single charge.
As mentioned, the device runs on Google's Android 7.1.1 Nougat mobile operating system , but HMD Global promises to release the latest Android 8.0 Oreo update as soon as possible. It also comes with Google Assistant and Google Photos, as well as Doze features for longer battery life.
As for the camera, the device has a 5MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear-facing camera with LED flash, geotagging, touch focus, and 720p video recording at 30fps. The Nokia 2 supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth LE 4.1 A2DP, and GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and BDS.
It offers 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The device also features a microUSB 2.0 port, accelerometer, and FM radio with RDS.
Its best feature is the price. It is available in black and white variants for 120 euros.
