Fitbit Ionic Smartwatch: Release and Malfunctions

Fitbit has officially launched its latest smartwatch, the Ionic, and it seems to be falling short of consumer expectations. Ionic

It's been a while since Fitbit released a proper smartwatch, specifically since 2016 with the Blaze. While it was a great device, two years later the technology has evolved enough that it's no longer a revolutionary product.

In 2016, the Blaze was the best on the market. But when you're left on the sidelines for long enough, it's only natural that other companies will catch up.

As for the Fitbit Ionic, it is a beautiful and interesting device that looks like an upgrade to the Blaze and nothing more.

According to consumer reports, the Fitbit Ionic is experiencing the same issues as the Blaze. First, many are having trouble with the smartwatch automatically syncing with their phone.

Users are also experiencing problems with music synchronization, which is a new feature.

Ionic malfunctions with the iOS 11 operating system, while a large number of Android devices are likely not supported.

Fitbit support has probably been inundated with requests, and the answer it gives users is this: "Upgrade the firmware, remove and re-add the tracker." The answer is tragically ironic considering some people can't even connect their phone to their smartwatch, let alone update it.

Finally, the new Fitbit Ionic was released on Sunday, so we expect to see what measures the company will take to resolve the problems that arise.
