Malwarebytes AdwCleaner 7.0 has just been released. It is a completely new application of Malwarebytes' security program.
AdwCleaner is a specialized tool for Windows that scans the system for adware or changes caused by adware. It can remove malware and restore the system to a working state.
The main features of the application are the removal of adware, toolbars, potentially unwanted programs and browser hijackers.
The new version of AdwCleaner is a completely new application. It comes with a new graphical interface and uses a new database format.
The new graphical interface is not as radical a change as the changes we saw from Malwarebytes 2.x to version 3.x.
The new UI features a scan button and a button to access logs. The clean, uninstall, and donate options have been removed from the main menu. The clean option automatically appears in place of the scan option once the scan is complete.
The Clean function will stop any processes involved and may require a reboot to completely clean your system.
The options include a reset feature that you can use to reset certain operating system settings, such as Windows Firewall, Winsock, or IPsec.
The new Malwarebytes AdwCleaner 7.0 is a major upgrade to the software. In addition to the new look, it also comes with some very basic features that are completely different from previous versions.
