As we reported in our previous articles, Samsung was set to relaunch the Note FE in early July. However, it seems that the company intends to delay the much-talked-about release due to production issues.
The Galaxy Note FE,which will only be offered in select markets, was originally scheduled to be released on July 7, but the company has decided to postpone it to the 30th as it struggles to produce the necessary supplies.
Specifically, Samsung wants to manufacture 300,000 units of the Galaxy Note FE but due to production issues, the company needs more time to manufacture that many phones before the official launch in the South Korean market.
It's not entirely clear exactly what the problems are that arose during production, but it's unlikely to be major as Samsung tries to align production with estimated demand.
The Galaxy Note FE is a version based on the Galaxy Note 7 that comes with some improvements over the original model and apparently solves the battery problem that led to the huge fiasco the company presented last year due to overheating.
The Note FE will have the same design and specifications as the Galaxy Note 7 but will come with a smaller 3,200 mAh battery as opposed to the 3,500 mAh of the original model. Apparently, Samsung decided to reduce the battery capacity to prevent overheating issues.
It is also claimed that the Note FE will feature an improved S Pen as well as a dedicated Bixby button, similar to the one on the Galaxy S8. It should be noted, however, that there is a high possibility that the company will introduce this feature with the launch of the Note 8.
