MMD, the brand license partner of Philips monitors, is expanding its growing line of curved monitors with a new model. Along with an 1800R curvature that delivers an immersive viewing experience, the new 34-inch 349X7FJEW monitor features an UltraWide 21:9 design, giving users plenty of space for multitasking.
CrystalClear Quad HD resolution guarantees accurate reproduction of detail, ensuring the full benefits when using the MultiView function to display a large amount of information on the screen at once. The display is designed with easy adjustments that allow users to adjust the tilt and height of the screen to their preferences to fully enjoy the viewing experience.
“We aim to bring the benefits of curved displays – such as focus and immersion – to as many users as possible,” says Artem Khomenko, Product Manager Philips monitors Europe MMD.
“The 34-inch model is the latest in a series we’re launching this year. It’s part of our commitment to delivering displays that empower people to do more and be delightfully productive: with wide, beautiful displays inspired by the world around us.”
With an R1800 curvature, users of the new X Line curved display can look forward to a highly immersive experience, with even better concentration in environments like home, where attention is easily distracted. Users can more easily concentrate on what they are doing, such as watching a movie, editing photos, creating a video, or working for long hours on spreadsheets. Especially in applications with rich details, the curved display enhances concentration by creating an increased perception of depth, with more personal space.
Within this personal viewing space, users have everything they need to enjoy their activities more. With UltraWide Quad HD and a panoramic 21:9 format, the display offers a large viewing area with 3440 x 1440 pixels: this means more pixels for more images and more space for multitaskers who use different applications at the same time, all with absolute clarity and sharpness.
Video is also excellent: the screen is wide enough to display all content at once, while the 117.3% (CIE1931) sRGB color gamut ensures superb color reproduction for photographers and video creators. Thanks to AMD FreeSync™ technology, video playback is exceptionally smooth, with no flickering, tearing, or motion blur. And since appearance plays an important role in a monitor, the 349X7FJEW has been designed with special care.
The edge-to-edge display, which increases viewing space, also provides a sleek look complemented by subtle curves and a glossy chrome finish. This is a display designed with functionality and elegance in mind.
The latest 34-inch curved model from X-line is carefully crafted with features that strive to make our lives easier and more comfortable. The screen features adjustable height and tilt, so users can position the curved viewing area to their ideal field of vision to avoid uncomfortable and unhealthy postures.
The 349X7FJEW is also equipped with LowBlue Mode. Research has shown that just as UV rays can cause eye damage, short-wavelength blue light from LED displays can also cause eye damage and affect vision over time. Designed for well-being, Philips LowBlue Mode uses intelligent software technology to reduce harmful blue light waves.
Multitasking is a very common practice these days. With this display, instead of needing two screens to watch two systems at the same time, users can enjoy streaming input from two systems on the same widescreen thanks to the Philips MultiView feature. The screen can either be split into two equal parts, or the content can be displayed in picture-in-picture (PiP) format.
This way, users can watch live news or sports broadcasts, for example, while they work.
There is also no need for a separate USB hub on the desk: multiple devices can be connected to the integrated hub, reducing cables and leaving the notebook's USB ports free for quick access. The display can also be used to quickly charge USB-connected devices.
The new Philips 349X7FJEW X Line monitor, with an indicative retail price of €899, will be available in electronics stores in April 2017.
