Dear friends,
We would like to inform you that the Postgraduate Studies Program (P.S.) "Digital Systems Security" of the Department of Digital Systems of the University of Piraeus, continues its successful operation by announcing a new cycle of studies (9thCycle ) for the academic year 2017-18.
The protection and security of information systems and all technological infrastructures are an ever-increasing necessity on a global scale. Considering that malicious cyber attacks are now a common phenomenon of “digital” everyday life, Cybersecurity is a critical technological sector that is in constant development and evolution. Furthermore, according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which concerns and will affect all public organizations and private companies that manage personal data, every organization or company must take all appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data, ensure its accuracy and availability. However, both at the international and national level it is commonly accepted that there is a significant shortage of suitable human resources, capable of adequately covering the ever-increasing demand for qualified professionals. In this context, the Master's Degree in "Digital Systems Security" has as its main purpose the training and education of new scientists in the above fields, while offering postgraduate students the opportunity to be certified by a recognized body as an ISO 27001:2013 INFORMATION SECURITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (ISMS) AUDITOR.
Applications are accepted from 3rdApril to May 31st, 2017.
