Xiaomi Mi 6: While Xiaomi is preparing its next smartphone Mi 6, sources close to the matter report that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be released sometime in July, and will be available on the market a few days after the official announcement.
The reason Xiaomi chose to release the device so late is because Qualcomm cannot make the most powerful Snapdragon 835 chipset available on the market before the official launch of the Galaxy S8, which is expected to take place at the end of April.
New information coming directly from China via Android Soul reports that there will be at least two versions of the Xiaomi Mi 6: Youth and Standard.
The device will come with different specifications that will be priced accordingly. For example, the Xiaomi Mi 6 Youth Edition will have a 5.2-inch display of unknown resolution (for now).
Also, the smartphone will be powered by a MediaTek Helio X30 processor, will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB (emmc 5.1 storage technology) storage space.
The Youth version will come with a single camera lens on the back and will cost around $290 in China.
The Standard Edition will be more expensive, priced at $390, but will feature much better specs.
For example, the Mi 6 Standard Edition will be equipped with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor (CPU), with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (UFS 2.0 storage technology). In addition, the phone will feature a larger 5.5-inch display.
We can safely assume that both Xiaomi Mi 6s will be released with Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
