An innovative engineering approach focused on the needs of gamers has always been Alienware ’s hallmark and the secret to its success over its 20-year history. The demands for higher resolutions, more realistic gameplay and virtual reality have led to a search for greater performance and, for Alienware , better design. The clever integration of new materials, such as anodized aluminum, magnesium alloy, reinforced steel and copper, bring form and function to this new design.
The addition of copper to the unique heat sink improves cooling capabilities for both the processor and the graphics unit. Combined with the new “ hinge - forward ” design, the ventilation is able to increase performance, as more heat dissipation is directed upwards and backwards. The all-new Alienware TactX keyboard features optimized RGB LED lighting for the keys, as well as a full 2.2 mm key travel with incredible feel, and enhanced durability thanks to the use of steel.
