The Tor Project has announced the release of the stable version of Tor Browser 6.0.8 as well as the sixth consecutive Aplha release of the upcoming Tor Browser 6.5.

Tor Browser 6.0.8 comes exactly two weeks after the release of Tor Browser 6.0.7 on November 30, 2016, and updates its program in relation to the latest versions of Mozilla Firefox 45.6.0 ESR (Extended Support Release) and thus fixes a number of important security vulnerabilities that were recently discovered.
Also, the new Tor Browser 6.0.8 supports the latest Tor software 0.2.8.11, the Torbutton tool 1.9.5.13, as well as the HTTPS-Everywhere 5.2.8 extension for encrypted communications.
Finally, it fixes several bugs, among which we can mention support for using non-HTML and HTML search engines for the DuckDuckGo search plugin, enabling IAT-mode for some obfs4 Tor bridges, banner improvements and some fixes for obfs4 bridges.
