The Android is due to the fact that Google launches new versions of the platform every year that are not compatible with their headphones. In addition, only a small percentage of Android smartphones and tablets have OS upgrades.
Unfortunately, sales of the latest version of Android OS are at 1% even though it has been months since Nougat was released to the market. According to Google statistics, only 0.4% of new devices are running Android Nougat.
In the market, the demand is structured as follows: First comes Android Lollipop with 34%, followed by Android 6.0 Marshmallow with 26.3%, Android 5.0 with 10.8% and Android 5.1 with 23.2% . Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is at 12.8%.The list is completed by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and Android 2.3 Gingerbread with a percentage of 1.2%. Android 2.2 Froyo is still on the chart with 0.1% while the operating OS is very likely to be discontinued as its demand is at quite low levels for the device specifications.
The only thing certain is that after these revelations, we expect a new, faster version of Android O software from the giant.
The above data from Google is the result of a survey conducted over seven days and concluded yesterday. We hope that 2017 will be a more successful year for Android Nougat and especially for smartphones that will have the OS software. Unfortunately, most Android devices are mediocre or low-quality smartphones, which is why launching them with Nougat software is a big financial risk for the company.
