Facebook will now integrate games into your News Feed with Instant Game, making gaming with your friends and family easier than ever.
The new platform, which launched on Tuesday, is an HTML5-based gaming platform that eliminates the need to download the recently released Facebook Gameroom app. Instant Games are much faster to play, as all you have to do is tap on the title you want to play and get started. They're cross-platform, so you'll be able to play both online and on mobile.
The real fun happens in Messenger, as the benefit of this is that users can start a game with a friend on the company's Messenger app, and the friend is potentially more likely to respond because they don't have to install anything. Users will also be able to find games to play on their own.
To access games in Messenger, all you have to do is tap on the small icon (or gamepad) below the typing area which will bring up a series of Facebook games, boards, and group chats.

According to Facebook, it has a total of 17 games, including Pac-Man, Galaga, Arkanoid, Space Invaders and Words With Friends with many more to come soon. Facebook has also added an Instant Games bookmark to the Explore tab where users can browse and discover new titles.
Instant Games are expected to cover a range from classic arcade games to puzzles and word games.
“The more variety of games, the better,” says Leo Olebe, Facebook. “There are a lot of different people on our platform, and they have very different preferences in games.”
Facebook Instant Games have launched in 30 countries and are available on HTML 5 apps that are compatible with browsers, iOS devices running 8.0 (or later), and Android phones and tablets running 5.0 (“Lollipop”) and later.
