Boston Dynamics is known for its scary robots. Big Dog is one of them, but you should see what the advanced SpotMini can do.
The electric robot (without hydraulics) weighs 55 kilograms and can run for 90 minutes, about as long as most dogs. It's also the quietest robot Boston Dynamics has ever built, although it seems large for apartment dwellers.
Unlike your dog, it doesn't need food, water, or walks in the park. You can charge it occasionally, and sometimes even give it a little service.
But instead of eating your shoes and ruining your furniture, SpotMini can be equipped with a robotic neck that allows it to help around the house.
He can do the dishes...take out the trash, or make you laugh, but sometimes he can also be very snarky..
