Microsoft swears that no system will be updated unless the owner chooses to, but it seems there are more and more examples that this is not always the case. And the company's latest blunder proves it. If you don't believe it, there are 120,000 witnesses.
If you're a gaming fan, you may have heard of Erik Flom, a former professional Counter Strike Global Offensive player who is now a full-time streamer, according to his online profile.
During his most recent live stream, Flom was surprised to notice that his computer displayed a window automatically starting the upgrade to the next version of Windows 10 without any prior warning, prompt, message, or anything else.
The upgrade window suggested that after restarting his computer, he sit back and relax, because the whole process is done automatically….
“What. WHAT?! How did this happen?” he says in the live stream you can watch on Twitch (the Windows 10 upgrade starts at 8:54).
Microsoft has yet to comment on the new blunder, but in March, a company spokesperson said that users always have full control over upgrading to Windows 10.
