Chinese company Vivo has announced the world's first smartphone to feature 6GB of RAM. The Vivo Xplay 5 is the company's flagship smartphone that it has confirmed will be launched on March 1st.
Until then, the company has released a few teasers showing off some of the most important features of the Xplay 5. While this isn't the first time we've heard that the Xplay 5 will feature 6GB of RAM, it's the first time the information has been confirmed by Vivo itself.
The new trailer released by Vivo shows that the Xplay will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.
If there is no other smartphone with 6GB of RAM by the end of this month, then the Vivo Xplay 5 will become the first device in the world to use such a large RAM.
The Xplay 5 will come with a Dual-edge Quad HD display that will support a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels.
According to rumors, the Xplay 5 will feature a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Its battery will be massive at 4,300 mAh.
To date, there has been no mention of its upcoming price, nor when it will be released in international markets.
