The developers of the BackBox Linux operating system have announced the release and immediate availability of BackBox Linux version 4.5, which promises a new kernel and many updated packages.
According to the release notes, BackBox Linux 4.5 comes with the Linux 4.2 kernel preinstalled and adds several new and specialized tools, such as Automotive Analysis and OpenVAS, that promise to improve overall system performance.
“In this release we have some special new features included to keep BackBox up to date with the latest developments in global security. Tools like Automotive Analysis and OpenVAS will make the difference,” the announcement states.
Of course, it is also worth mentioning that the new version includes many new hacking tools, and others that have been updated to their latest versions.
The new operating system contains: wpscan, hashcat, knockpy, nmap, guymanager, zaproxy, binwalk, set, phishing-frenzy, sqlmap, can-utils, and apktool.
