Microsoft opened registration for its Build 2016 conference at noon, but just as expected, tickets sold out really quickly, so if you're interested you have no choice but to join the waitlist.
This year, the company managed to set a new record, as the conference sold out in less than five minutes, according to a statement from Microsoft.
For information, last year's Build 2015 conference sold out in 45 minutes, so this year's five tickets are considered a record.
“We are thrilled with the continued interest in Build. The conference sold out in less than 5 minutes, but we encourage developers to sign up for the waitlist as additional tickets will become available. The keynotes and breakout sessions will be live-streamed on Wednesday, March 30th starting at 8:30 AM. The conference sold out in 45 minutes last year.”.
This year, the company will not be giving away gifts to those who attend the show. In the past, attendees would leave with expensive gifts, such as tablets, but this year Microsoft is changing strategy.
Build 2016 will take place in San Francisco between March 30 and April 1 and is expected to bring us a lot of exciting news, including information about the company's plans to bring Android and iOS apps to Windows 10.
