In a previous article, we analyzed how one can virtually install any operating system using Virtual Box. Our example concerned the well-known Ubuntu distribution.
But how would you like the idea of downloading the distribution of your choice and trying it out on your computer with 2 clicks, without any installation and wasting time?
The initiative belongs to OSBoxes, which offers us several operating system images for free, all we need is to have Virtual Box or VMWare installed on our computer, download our favorite Linux distribution and that's it!
We simply choose to open the .vdi file (file format in Virtual Box) with Virtual Box and the operating system runs normally!
The codes of the preinstalled images are listed next to each distribution.
