Add the Safe Mode option to your menu

If you have a problem with your computer, you can troubleshoot it by starting Windows 10 in Safe Mode. Safe Mode starts Windows 10, and Windows in general, by loading a minimal number of drivers and services.Windows 10 Safe Mode

So if the problem doesn't reappear when you start your computer in safe mode, you can rule out your recent settings and essential device drivers and services as possible causes.

Below we will see how you can add a “Safe Mode” to the desktop menu with options to restart in normal mode, safe mode, safe mode with networking, and safe mode with command prompt in Windows 10.

Note: You must be an administrator to proceed further.

You probably know what your computer's boot options are.

  • Normal Mode : (Default) This is the normal Windows startup.
  • Safe Mode : Starting Windows with minimal drivers and services.
  • Safe Mode with Networking : Starting Windows in safe mode includes the drivers and network services required to access the Internet or other computers on your network.
  • Safe Mode with Command Prompt : Starting Windows in Safe Mode with a command prompt window instead of the usual Windows interface.

Let's see how it's done:

Simply download the .zip file iGuRu.News-SafeMode from the link below and open it on your desktop.

Inside there is everything you will need. Before we start you should move the Safe_Mode folder inside iGuRu.News-SafeMode to the path

C:\Windows

Accept the UAC to complete the transfer of the Safe_Mode folder.

Immediately after that, you can go back to the iGuRu.News-SafeMode folder on your desktop and double-click SafeMode-DesktopMenu.reg. (Accept UAC if a window pops up)

The .reg will add what is needed to your computer's registry.

If you want to remove this specific setting from your system now, run RemoveSafeMode.bat as administrator, which is also contained in the iGuRu.News-SafeMode folder. (Right-click on the file and run as administrator).
