The Guardian reports that high-level Apple executives met with DMV officials in California to discuss issues related to the rumored self-driving vehicle.
The meeting was held on September 17 by Apple senior legal counsel Mike Maletic and DMV co-sponsors of the self-driving vehicle project, Bernard Soriano, and Stephanie Dougherty.
This meeting is not a surprise, as Apple has long been rumored to be working on this particular project.
However, the guys from Cupertino will need to overcome their traditional secrecy, since all car manufacturers who want to test their autonomous cars in California will have to give all the data they have at their disposal.
As the Guardian, Apple is working on the project at a research complex in Sunnyvale, which is almost inaccessible even to city inspectors, and of course this is due to Apple's very strict privacy policy.
This publication may be a definitive sign that the Cupertino company will present its self-driving vehicle in the near future, since according to previous publications by the Wall Street Journal and Reuters, it is very seriously considering businesses in this sector, namely with autonomous cars.
