ESET announced that its growth rate is outpacing that of the security software market, as recorded in a report by research firm Gartner, according to market share revenue in 2014.
The security market grew 5.3% in 2014, reaching revenues of $21.4 billion, according to Gartner's report: "Market Share: All Software Markets, Worldwide, 2014".[1] As new technologies and software are adopted by businesses around the world, the number of vulnerabilities that cybercriminals can exploit is increasing manifold.
Global information security spending will reach $71.1 billion in 2014, an increase of 7.9 percent compared to 2013, with data loss prevention recording the fastest growth at 18.9 percent, according to the latest forecasts from Gartner, Inc. Overall information security spending will grow by a further 8.2 percent in 2015, to reach $76.9 billion[2],” according to Gartner.
According to Gartner's report "Market Share: All Software Markets, Worldwide, 2014," ESET recorded 8.0% growth in 2014 in the consumer security and enterprise endpoint protection software markets, improving its market share from 4.0% in 2012 to 5.1% in 2014.[3]

As ESET itself predicted, in 2014 the company ranked among the top five security software vendors in the consumer security and enterprise endpoint protection markets by market share [4], recording a 7.2% increase in consumer security software and 8.6% in platform endpoint protection.
In 2014, ESET set a goal of providing proactive protection to more than 100 million active users worldwide. To better protect users from evolving cybercrime, the company has added Botnet Protection and an improved Exploit Blocker to the core features of ESET Smart Security 8, and has also made improvements and adjustments to ESET Mobile Security to offer the best protection for mobile device users.
For 2015, ESET has launched a completely redesigned, next-generation security product line, offering maximum proactive protection with low system burden, through the new ESET Remote Administrator and ESET Endpoint Security solutions, with a wealth of new features, such as Botnet Protection, Exploit Blocker and Anti-Phishing.
