Dave Camp, Director of Engineering this week announced that the company is currently in the process of redesigning the user interface of the Mozilla Firefox.
The new interface will be rebuilt using modern web technologies and techniques, having originally been built using the XML User Interface Language (XUL). Unfortunately, the XUL has become obsolete in the web space, as over time the web and applications have improved considerably technologically, which is important for future browser designs and performance.
