The President and the Organizing Committee of NANOTEXNOLOGY 2015 invite you to the International Summer School in "Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies, Organic Electronics and Nanomedicine"(9th International Summer School in Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies, Organic Electronics and Nanomedicine – ISSON15) which will take place on July 4-11, 2015 at the Porto Palace Hotel (https://nnconf.physics.auth.gr/isson.html).
The Summer School is one of the events of NANOTEXNOLOGY 2015, a multi-event of international scientific, technological and business events (International Exhibition, International Conferences & Schools in Nanotechnologies & Organic Electronics, Technology Transfer & Business Collaborations Event) and other Greek and foreign organizations, in July 2015 at the Porto Palace Hotel (https://www.nanotexnology.com/).
NN15 and the Summer School are organized by the Interdepartmental-Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Program “Nanosciences & Nanotechnologies” of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and are supported by the Thematic Network NANONET and the Laboratory of Thin Films - Nanosystems & Nanometrology.
The main objective of the ISSON15 Summer School is to provide a detailed overview of the advances in Nanosciences in a wide variety of fields, and the prospects for their translation into Nanotechnology applications. The ultimate goal of ISSON15 is to train the next generation of researchers in the interdisciplinary fields of Nanotechnology.
The ISSON15 Summer School is open to undergraduates, postgraduates, postdoctoral fellows, researchers and anyone else who wishes to gain knowledge in the area of Nanoscience & Nanotechnologies (NN). Lectures will be given by distinguished scientists on contemporary trends in NN and state-of-the-art methods and techniques, as well as experimental demonstrations in laboratory facilities. ISSON15 will consist of three different but parallel modules/schools:
School 1. Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies (NanoMaterials, Nanoscale Characterization, Recent Applications)
School 2. Organic Electronics (Systems, Materials, Production, Applications)
School 3. Nanomedicine (NanoBiotechnology, Nanomedicine, Methods, Applications)
The courses will be held in English. We expect ISSON15 to be the basis for innovative high-tech ideas from enthusiastic young or aspiring researchers.
