Microsoft continues to challenge to gain interest by faithfully following a new strategy that wants shocking news every now and then. The company, reshaping its entire action plan after the change of CEO, announced that it will avoid updating mobile devices from mobile carriers in order to improve the update process and times on mobile devices with Windows 10 Mobile.
This statement was made in a post on the company's Ignite blog, where the updated version of Windows for Business was revealed. The post states:
“Today we’re announcing that the continuous update process applies to all Windows 10 devices, including phones.”
This means that if your phone is running Windows 10, Microsoft promises to immediately upgrade it with all the relevant updates. Of course, we don't know much about the new Windows 10 Mobile operating system, and it's not expected to be released until later this year.
Microsoft also confirmed to ZDNet that this update process will apply to all of its customers, not just corporate users.
With this move, the company seems to be trying to prevent the bad situation that prevails in the updates of Android devices, where mobile operators are also responsible for distributing the updated versions. It is known that several of the companies skip some updates, leaving the phones running with outdated software. It is a very dangerous tactic that the companies follow, with the end user as the recipient.
