Huawei has yet to update its devices to Android 5.0 Lollipop, but it looks like it's getting ready to do so very soon. The Chinese company has just confirmed that some select devices will receive the update in the coming months .
A new report coming out of China claims that Huawei will begin rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop for Mate7 devices sometime in May.
The Huawei Ascend Mate7 will be the first device to receive the Lollipop update, but three other smartphones have been selected for the upgrade soon after.
The Ascend Mate2 will be the next to get the update, in July. This is perhaps a bit disappointing since Huawei had previously stated that the smartphone would be updated to Lollipop in the first half of the year. Better late than never, though.
Along with the Huawei Ascend Mate2, the Ascend P7 in July. This is the first time we have confirmation that this update will also be available for the Ascend P7. The update will be released in September.
All four Huawei listed above will be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop, regardless of which version of the operating system they are currently running.
