For the record, the Pony Express was the first postal service in the United States (1859), in the Wild West that served people from St. Joseph, Missouri, to the Rocky Mountains, and Sacramento, California. But why this historical flashback to the Pony Express on Wednesday morning?
How would you feel if Gmail had a service through which you could pay your bills? Many of us already receive our monthly bills via email, and as it seems from Google, they thought of taking advantage of the fact, adding a payment service to our inbox.
According to a report from Recode, the company is currently developing the new service, which has already been given a name: Pony Express. It is very possible, of course, that the name of the payment tool could change before it reaches its final form and is released to the general public.
The Recode publication showed photos showing a setup asking the user for personal information, such as name, address and Social Security number. The user will be able to choose to receive or send payments from a credit card or a bank account number. It should be recalled that the existing Google Wallet payment service does not support transactions through bank accounts.
Once the user is verified, they will be able to receive and pay bills through Gmail or the company's new Inbox app.
The Recode website also reports that we probably won't be long in seeing the new service since it will be available in the 4th quarter of 2015.
