Digital payment service Stripe has officially announced support for Bitcoin, allowing any website to use their services to accept cryptocurrency payments.
The company began testing Bitcoin payments in March with a private beta app that spanned 60 countries. The testing was completed in December. Stripe will charge a 0.5 percent fee for every Bitcoin transaction.
Stripe Checkout users can also add Bitcoin as a payment option with just one additional line of code. Instructions on how to enable the service can be found on the company's website .
