Breathe Luxury will auction the domain name holiday.com later this year. The company calls holiday.com the “holy grail for the travel industry,” and it expects there to be a lot of interest from travel companies looking to get their hands on the address.
The company says it believes holiday.com “has all the makings to be the No. 1 leading travel brand and a unique online platform to serve holidaymakers around the world.”
As the Telegraph reports, Breathe Luxury has already received several “offers for the domain, but has rejected them, choosing to hold an auction at World Travel Market , a B2B industry event that will take place on November 5.
If it reaches the expected price (the company expects its price to reach $34.5 million), holiday.com should be one of the most expensive domains ever sold, such as insurance.com which was purchased for $35.6 million and privatejet.com which cost $30.2 million.
