Microsoft According helped police by providing useful information, which led to the arrest of a pedophile in the US, according to the BBC.

to the publication, the man was found to have two illegal photos of naked children in his OneDrive account, which he tried to send using the Outlook.com email service. The arrest took place on July 31 after Microsoft's information.
The company's PhotoDNA technology automatically assigns each photo a digital signature, which is then used to compare images. In this way, if an image has already been marked as illegal, Microsoft informs law enforcement.
The man, as the BBC reports, has been remanded in custody and his trial is scheduled for next week.
