Trevilla theme made for users who want a flat desktop with a minimalist feel on their Ubuntu.
Trevillia's designers aren't the only ones using this simple look as a theme. In fact, more and more distributions are coming with flat desktops (perhaps it's been a trend since Windows 8).
Trevilla is a collection of flat themes that follow a specific aesthetic technique. The themes included are called White, Gray, Black, and Chrome.
Installing the theme is actually quite easy, especially with the help of noobslab.com, a PPA is available for everyone. All you need to do is open a terminal and type the following commands (you will need to be root to be able to run them properly):
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/themes
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/icons
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install trevilla-themes
sudo apt-get install trevilla-icons
To enable the theme, you will need to use a tool like Ubuntu Tweak, and keep in mind that this theme is not exclusive to Ubuntu. It will also work with Linux Mint 17 “Qiana” and the installation process is the same.
