Stefan Esser Photo from the first jailbreak on iOS 8

A day after Apple released iOS 8, Stefan Esser, the hacker known as i0n1c, tweeted that the newly released iOS 8 beta was potentially jailbreakable.
In a new tweet today, he showed off a photo that proves his claim to be true.

The photo he posted shows a terminal on the hacker's computer connected via SSH to the root of an iPod 5.

We don't yet know if i0n1c will release a jailbreak solution to the public, or any of the vulnerabilities he has discovered, but the photo he released shows that jailbreaking iOS 8 is possible.

But we should say for those of you who hope, that hackers from the jailbreak scene do not usually “burn” exploits while the operating system is still in beta form, that is, under development by Apple. They will wait for the final version. By then, of course, a lot may have changed.

At iGuRu.gr we do not believe that a jailbroken device is still secure, and because your main concern should be security we do not recommend such tweaks.
