Another virtual reality headset that isn't the Oculus Rift? We're talking about Project Morpheus , Sony 's new "child" that promises to offer gamers endless moments of enjoyment.

At its recent presentation of Project Morpheus, which will work with the PS4, Sony showed off a prototype. This headset uses a display screen that is “worn” directly in front of the user’s eyes to create – according to its creators – “new levels of immersion in virtual reality” during gaming.
In terms of functionality and appearance, Project Morpheus is similar to the Oculus Rift, while using a 1080p LCD screen, offering a 90-degree field of view. In addition, it is equipped with gyroscopic sensors to be perceived by the Playstation camera. This means that it projects images of the landscape, depending on where the user's head is turned, in real time. It connects to the PS4 via HDMI or USB and then with the PlayStation Camera and Playstation Move.
In addition, it incorporates a 3D sound system, which follows the user's movements and emits sounds and music according to the field of view, offering the required realism.
All of this sounds impressive, but Sony is probably late on this issue, as the Oculus Rift is already in production and will be in stores within the year.
