Google wants to offer strong encryption to all Gmail users' emails , through the Pretty Good Privacy – PGP security software .
Pretty Good Privacy is a high-security encryption for operating systems, allowing the exchange of files and messages while ensuring confidentiality and privacy, combined with ease of operation.
Ensuring confidentiality means that only the person for whom a message is intended is able to read it.
Google wants to make the process of encrypting emails easier, but there are already some concerns, such as the storage of encryption keys and whether they will be stored on Google's servers or locally on users' computers.
